Will the Tour Operate in the Rain?
That’s a great tour FAQ! Yes. In keeping with the long tradition of walking tours in Charleston, as long as it is safe, we do tours rain or shine. So, if they are calling for rain, you may want to bring an umbrella.
May I Bring My Dog?
Yes your dog is welcome on our tours. By Charleston city ordinance your dog must be on a leash. All we ask is that your dog does not disrupt other guests on the tour.
Will the Tour Wait for Me if I am Late?
No. We know things happen, so we ask that you communicate with us so we can help to accommodate the situation. However, if we can’t – Out of respect to other guests we can not wait for you if you are late. You will be offered the next available tour, but not a refund.
Do We Sit Down on the Tour?
Sometimes we do sit on our tours. We try our best to make everyone comfortable, so we always look for shade and a place to sit if possible.
May I Bring My Young Child?
That’s a great tour FAQ! Yes. However on History Tours we don’t recommend children between 2 and 10 years of age. On Ghost Tours we don’t recommend children between 2 and 8 years of age.
How Long is the Tour
Our tours are about 90 minutes long and cover about 1.5 miles at a leisurely pace.
Is There a Restroom on the Tour?
Yes, the tour meets next to a restroom, so there is a restroom available at the beginning of the tour. Here is a complete list of public restrooms in the historic district
What Should I bring With me?
We recommend that you wear comfortable shoes and other weather-appropriate clothing. On a hot day, you may want to bring some bottled water and some sunscreen. There is no place on the tour to purchase anything… but that’s a great Tour FAQ!
